OSMOSIS

Osmosis is defined as the movement of water or solvent molecules from a region of concentrated or stronger solutions through a selectivity or differentiated permable membranes.

This is similar to atmospheric pressure where air moves from a region of high pressure to low pressure.

For Osmosis to occur ,three conditions must be available, namely
1) presence of a stronger solution
2) Presence of a weaker solution
3) presence of a permable membrane
