RIVERS AND RIVERS SYSTEM

Running water is the most potent element that sculpture the earth surface.

A river is a mass of water flowing over the earth surface from a source which is either a spring or run off water from rain fall etc, etc . It runs until it reaches the place where the land opens up into the sea.

Rivers normally flows down the slope to the sea and along the gradient it recieves water from other tributaries.

As rivers flows they are involved in three main activities, namely; erosion, Transportation and deposition.

As a result of these activities they modiefy the surface features of their basins. They also wear away the surface features of the basins.
